Local expertise and global experience, all in the spirit of Ohana
Are you thinking about moving to paradise? Do you have questions about how it’s done, how long it may take, and how much it may cost?
No matter whether you’re moving a single household or an entire business, and no matter whether your move is from the mainland, to the mainland, or within the islands, no one does it better than Royal Hawaiian Movers.
Why we’re the Hawaii moving experts
With offices, warehouses, trucks, and teams on all four major Hawaiian islands — Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and The Big Island — Royal Hawaiian is able to provide a comprehensive level of service to all customers.
What our
Customers are saying
The moving company that serves ALL of Hawaii
Since 1982, Royal Hawaiian Movers has made moving to, from, and within the islands easier for households and businesses of all sizes. We’re a local business with decades of island moving experience, and our customers also benefit from us being part of The DeWitt Companies family, an integrated network of sister companies that works together to provide moving and storage services on the mainland and beyond. No other Hawaiian moving company offers this unique blend of local expertise and global experience to its customers.
Island moving requires both logistical expertise unique to the islands (from how you’re packing up your household at your old place, to unloading and reassembling at your new one) and knowledge of local regulations, customs, and culture — and Royal Hawaiian provides it across all of Hawaii.
For example, moving to the Big Island is a very different undertaking if you’re headed to or leaving from Hilo (the east side of the Big Island, including Puna, Ka’u, or Hamakua) than if your destination or point-of-departure is Kona (on the west side of the Big Island).
Additionally, there are many towns and places across the different islands that have similar or, in some cases, the exact same name. No one moving to Waimea on the Big Island would be happy to learn that their belongings ended up in Waimea, Kauai.
Royal Hawaiian knows the ins and outs across all of Hawaii, and is absolutely the best equipped to make your move as secure and as efficient as possible no matter where in the islands you may be headed.
We move everything and everyone
Whether it’s a simple move from one home to another in the same Hawaiian city or town, or relocating a business between the Hawaiian Islands and the mainland, or even if you’re just looking for a place to store furniture or business equipment, Royal Hawaiian Movers can help.
Our movers have decades of experience in the unique job of moving among the islands. Not only will we do the heavy lifting, but we will advise you and assist in the most secure means of wrapping and packing your furniture, equipment, and valuables and thereby help ensure everything you own arrives as intended.
Because while island time may move more slowly (a big reason people love living here), your move — no matter what you’re moving or where — should go quickly and easily.
Please tell us more about yourself and your needs so we can create a custom moving quote for you — with no money-down and no commitment of any kind.
Local knowledge of the islands
Each Hawaiian Island is unique which can mean geographic and logistical hurdles but our local experts know the in-and-outs of different communities, streets, and neighborhoods.
Moving to Oahu
Oahu, “the gathering place,” is the most populated of the islands. And while that means it has many mainland amenities, it also means mainland liabilities, such as traffic and construction. Our local moving experts will help you navigate the ever-changing terrain of Oahu in the most expeditious and cost-effective way possible, helping you move in-time with Hawaii’s most modernized island.

Moving to Maui
Maui, “the valley island,” has more geological variance than Oahu: moving to or from upcountry Maui requires an entirely different approach than a move to the Hana Highway area. Our movers understand these variances, and are completely equipped to address them all.
Additionally, our Maui moving team can address your moving needs if your destination or departure point is the smaller islands off Maui, such as Lanai or Moloka’i. Learn more
Moving to Kauai
Kauai, “the garden island,” with its population living almost exclusively in coastal towns, can present challenges in efficient travel along its one-lane roadways, and much more so should you move further inland. But Royal Hawaiian’s Kauai team has experience in moving households and businesses alike throughout Kauai, and also in serving our customers serving in the military who make, or plan to make, Kauai their home. Moving to the Big Island (Hilo and Kona)
The Big Island, Hawai’i. While perhaps the most affordable of the Hawaiian Islands, the Big Island has challenges in that its residences and business centers are also spread across the Island. As noted, moving to or from the eastern side (Hilo) and the western side (Kona) present different challenges for all but the most experienced movers. Fortunately, when you choose Royal Hawaiian Movers, that’s exactly who you get.
